Joseph was one of seven known children born to William L./G. Moore and his wife, Sarah Burroughs. Joseph served in the Revolutionary War (there is some evidence he may have held the rank of Colonel). He then became a lay minister for the Methodist movement. Joseph married Rebecca Foster, a daughter of Nathaniel Foster, Sr. and his wife, Mary Eldridge. Joseph and Rebecca were wed in Bucks County, Pennsylvania in the year 1773. They had eleven children; seven sons and four daughters. Rev. Moore was 70 years and 5 months of age at his passing on to his heavenly home.

Nathaniel was the second child of Rev. Joseph Moore and his wife, Rebecca Foster. Nathaniel was born in New Jersey; family Bible Records, 1860 US Census, death records for Rush County, Indiana. Rev. Moore enlisted in the Revolutionary War from New Jersey and had moved his family back to New Jersey (by Fall of 1775) to be of help to his mother (Sarah Burroughs Moore). Nathaniel served in the War of 1812. He was mainly a farmer; but from 1791 to 1800, he shipped goods on flatbed boats (barges) along the Ohio River. He supplied lumber to area counties form 1822 to 1827; then in 1828 he contracted to carry mail from Cincinnati to Portsmouth, Ohio. Nathaniel transported the mail through the Fall of 1840. He married Nancy Ann Welch, a daughter of James Welch and Abigail Meeker. They were married March 6, 1799 in Mason County, Kentucky. They had eleven children; six sons and five daughters. After the death of Nancy in 1844, Nathaniel went to Rush County, Indiana to reside with his son, Nathaniel. Nathaniel died at his son's home in August of 1861.

Minerva lived in Noble Township, Rush County, Indiana according to the 1860 census Her mother was not mentioned in that census and her grandfather Nathaniel Moore was living with them.
Based on the fact that Minerva and Roland C Haven married in that same County I assume this 11 year old child is the same Minerva. This is the only link found to her family. Her grandfather led to the other ancestors in this branch through findagrave.com
